A NOTE FROM MARYNA

First of all, I have created this formula to address the needs of my skin during this cold “water” season of YIN. Back in the early fall of 2023, I began planning a renewing protocol for the winter season restoration of my body, and skin. In addition to a dietary, and health regime, that includes an Ayurvedic-based diet, infrared sauna, and PEMF treatments, I planned to incorporate a special nourishing treatment for my skin. I researched the elemental and botanical benefits of extracts, commissioned special oil presses from my favorite farmers, and prepared herbal infusions to be done over the lunar cycles.

The WINTER GRACE serum was born. I am delighted to invite you to share this experience with me. Use what a “plant witch” is making for herself, which of course is the best of the best.

EXPERIENCE

Oil-based serum high in oleic and linoleic acids to deeply moisturize, nourish, and renew the skin. This serum feels thicker than VITALITY ELIXIR, or HAWAIIAN NIGHTS, and is more “oily” and rich in texture, while still being compatible with oily and acneic skins. Its hue is deep orange / orange-red, thanks to high content of unrefined antioxidants, red plant and saffron infusions.

AROMA

This serum was not designed for scent, and essential oils have been excluded from its formula. The aroma is herbaceous, with gentle sweet and woodsy notes from sandalwood and saffron extracts.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT

Free from strong actives such as Vitamin C, or retinol, the emphasis of this serum is on gentle, yet intelligent renewal of skin with the aid of unrefined botanicals naturally rich in antioxidants and fatty acids.

THE RITUAL

Intended to complement your existing MAHALO Skin Care line, The WINTER GRACE serum is best applied over freshly cleansed and hydrated skin, and over lighter face oils.

This looks like this:

Step 1: cleanse with The UNVEIL.
Step 2: two pumps of The HAWAIIAN HYDRATION over damp skin (boost it with few mists of The FLOWER of FLOWERS).
Step 3 AM: one pump of The VITALITY ELIXIR
Step 3 PM*: one – two pumps of The HAWAIIAN NIGHTS].
Step 4: one-two pumps of The WINTER GRACE serum.
Step 5 (optional): thin veil of any of our balms to lock in moisture and hydration.

*step 3 is optional, listen to your skin on how much oil serum treatment is desired.

Micro-emulsion

Another wonderful way that can boost the performance and absorption of the serum is to create an emulsion (this is also a great tip for a quicker skin care application). In the palm of your hand combine 1-3 pumps of The HAWAIIAN HYDRATION with 1-2 pumps of The WINTER GRACE serum for your own alchemized blend of hydration (from the concentrate) and moisture (from the serum) for a vital glow that lasts and lasts.
